Attorney Norm Pattis said he believes that there is more than “just a chance” that the officer involved in the killing of George Floyd will not be indicted on major charges.

Dumb Ass News – A woman in an electric wheelchair successfully robbed a bank! Her getaway, far less successful.

The Tribe called in their “extra” nominations for the best pizza places the state, after the obvious Top 7 were all named recently in an article on the internet.

PODCAST – Monday, March 8: The Royals Interview; Killer Karaoke; The Half-Million Dollar CT Tag Sale Find

Harry and Meghan Markle spoke to Oprah for two hours last night. Chaz was trapped into watching the whole thing by Jennifer, so he saved everyone else some time by sharing everything you need to know, based on the first five minutes. (0:00)

Chaz and AJ’s Killer Karaoke! Intern Ben was on the phone to share some clips he’s found of karaoke that kills. So it’s either really, really good, or really, really not. (20:37)

Gianni Russo was on to talk about his many weddings, after hearing that someone on the show may have broken the law last year during pandemic protocols. Gianni also gave an update on his mini-series about his life, and his thoughts about the Meghan Markle interview last night. (29:38)

50 Years, 50 Albums 1977: Fleetwood Mac ‘Rumours’

50 Years, 50 Albums 1977: Fleetwood Mac ‘Rumours’

What started as a British Blues Band in London with founding members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Danny Kirwin, Fleetwood Mac became the band that has broken records with album sales. Up until 1975 Fleetwood Mac changed members often creating different sounds and styles on each album. Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined in 1975 for the band’s 10th album with the direction of the group going more towards a “pop” sound, which they certainly achieved with 1975’s self-titled album selling 7 million copies. Then came Rumours in 1977. This album sold 10 million copies after the first months and to date over 40 million copies have been sold making it one of the top selling albums of all time! Although the band was going through a lot of personal problems based on sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, and more drugs Rumours cranked out four top charting singles and seven more songs that were FM radio friendly that have become classics! We are humbled to include Fleetwood Mac Rumors into the WPLR Hall of Fame.

Hummels PLR 99 One-on-One: Rick Allison

Hummels PLR 99 One-on-One: Rick Allison

Rick Allison began his career at WPLR in 1975 and has done everything from part time news, mornings (multiple times), program director, the voice of the station, to hosting the longest running local band show in the history of radio (heard every Sunday night). He’s been fired several times but the universe will not allow Allison and PLR to be apart for long.
