Chaz and AJ woke up this morning to the terrible news about the death of Meat Loaf. The Tribe called in to share stories about meeting him around Connecticut, attending his shows, and catching him coaching his daughters on the softball field. (12:10)

Live Nation’s Jimmy Koplik joined the show to talk about his experience working with Meat Loaf, and admitted to an uncomfortable situation that nearly ruined the relationship. Thankfully, everything was repaired, and Meat Loaf apparently was the tipping point that helped Jimmy get his shows at Toad’s Place. (30:33)

Boss Keith is already fed up with 2022, and his Top 5 today was all about the things he’s ready to get rid of forever. (45:54)

Perfect Album: Mötley Crüe ‘Shout at the Devil’

The second album from Mötley Crüe Shout at the Devil helped solidify the band as one of the top selling heavy metal acts of the ’80s. The album sold 200,000 in its first week and was certified 4x platinum.

Fun Fact: While recording the album, bassist Nikki Sixx was involved in a serious car crash after drunkenly stealing a friend’s Porsche in Los Angeles. Demi Moore told him he needed help from AA, but he refused.

Dumb Ass News – An angry customer at a Taco Bell demanded the staff connect her to corporate, after they refused to serve her because they had already closed. So one of the workers gave her his own, personal cell phone number and took a fake report of the incident. (0:00)

Matt from Brookfield is a Tribe member, and has a crazy survival story from a failed attempt rappelling down a cliff in Sleeping Giant State Park. (27:35)

Friday, AJ and Ashley made a bet with each other over the outcome of the Bills/Pats game. AJ picked the Bills, so he won, and somehow, still felt like the loser after Ashley made good on the terms and gave him a pedicure. (54:30)

99.1 PLR Perfect Album: Nirvana ‘Nevermind’

The second album from the Seattle based grunge band that changed the face of music as we know it. Taking a cue from the Pixies while also combining the punk sounds of Black Flag with the pop hooks of the Beatles, Nirvana created an album that famously knocked Michael Jackson out of the number 1 spot on the charts. The album that killed “hair metal” and eventually went on to sell over 10 million copies in the U.S. Featuring the biggest alternative rock song of all time “Smells Like Teen Spirit” plus other 90s mainstays like “Lithium,” “In Bloom” and “Come As You Are”.

Fun Fact: Dave Grohl is not the only drummer on Nevermind. Chad Channing, the original drummer for the band, plays on “Polly”.
