A powerful day of music, community, and compassion is coming to the legendary Toad’s Place on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, as friends, family, and fans unite for an all-day benefit music festival in support of longtime Connecticut music icon Darik Pearson. The event will run from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a $25 cover charge, and all proceeds going directly to Darik and his family as he bravely continues his battle with Stage 4 prostate cancer. There will be fun, music, drinks, food, raffles, and merchandise available for sale.

For nearly 30 years, Darik Pearson has been the face of fun and live music across New England. His band, Darik and The Funbags, is synonymous with high-energy performances that turn every show into a celebration – bringing people together to dance, sing out loud, and embrace life’s joyful moments.
What many fans may not know is that Darik has been quietly fighting Stage 4 prostate cancer for the past four years. Now in his fifth year of that fight, he continues to inspire not just his bandmates and loved ones, but countless others who are facing their own personal battles.
This benefit concert is more than just a show – it’s a community effort to uplift Darik, his wife Michele, and their young children, and to provide meaningful support during this difficult time.
