99.1 PLR celebrates 50 years! This week we are celebrating another great year in our history: 1989!
That year Metallica came to Connecticut twice on their ‘Damaged Justice’ Tour: The XL Center in March and Lake Compounce in July. They hit the road to support their fourth studio album, “…And Justice for All,” which was first album with bassist Jason Newsted. The tour started in September 1989 and made its way to Hartford in the spring during the first leg of their North American Tour.
