99.1 PLR celebrates 50 years! This week we are celebrating another great year in our history: 1978!
That year PLR presented Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band at New Haven Coliseum. Springsteen hit the road in 1978 to support the “Darkness on the Edge of Town” album, which featured such hits as Prove It All Night, Badlands and The Promised Land. In fact this sold out New Haven Coliseum show came immediately after Bruce’s first ever headlining shows at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden.
