99.1 PLR and The Branford Rotary Club invites you to participate in The Y Run and Walk on Thursday, November 26th. The Run & Walk begins at 9:00 AM. The event will start at Branford's Walsh Intermediate School and the course will run through Branford's beautiful Pine Orchard section. All pre registered participants will get an official race t-shirt. There will be post-race snacks and an awards presentation. Awards will be given out in different categories including to the top three race finishers in each division, the top fundraiser, largest group and more!
This 5K Run and Walk will raise money for the construction of the new Soundview Family YMCA Teen Center which will be a 50,000 square foot facility that will include two large indoor swimming pools, exercise areas, computer rooms and a teen center. It will service the towns of Branford, North Branford, East Haven, Guilford, and Madison. Entrants contributing or raising $100 or more for the Soundview YMCA will get a complimentary entry to the Y Run & Walk 5K.
