Saturday January 22nd was the Fifth Annual Icy Plunge to help find a cure for Breast Cancer. Every year West Haven puts on a great event at the beach; and this year hundreds of brave people dove into Long Island Sound to help fight breast cancer.

This year AJ had to represent the show solo. Megan plunged with him last year; but she couldn't do it this year because she's pregnant.

Wanting to get some audio for the show AJ used his cellphone to call in messages to his voicemail box before, during, and after the plunge. You'll see why we mentioned this as you scroll through the pictures.

Once again the Icy Plunge drew a big crowd on a bitterly cold Saturday Morning. It was 10 degrees at West Haven Beach.

AJ is happy to see he's not the only one wearing a silly hat.

As it gets close to plunging time the truly brave lineup right at the edge of the water. Do you see AJ?

You can pick out AJ from the Viking helmet. It's kind of like our own "Where's Waldo" game.

The Icy Plunge is underway! This year there aren't a lot of people staying in the water after the initial plunge; but there are a few nuts splish-splashing around.

As people are climbing out of the water you can see the looks on their faces... "Damn it's cold!"

First AJ throws Billy's cellphone into the toilet at the station. Now AJ drops his own phone into Long Island Sound. D'oh!
The lesson: If AJ asks to borrow your cellphone you may want to think twice.
