PLR's Buried at the Beach concludes today. We've got another huge show lined-up. Come have some fun in the sun with us!

  • White Eyed Lizard - The cool Steel Drum Band playing at the beach for us today.
  • Michelle Douglas - Dog Trained from The Refined Canine. It's doggie day at the beach today!
  • Dr. McHugh - Podiatrist and Judge for our "Prettiest and Nastiest Feet Contest". Pretty feet get a 4-pack of tickets to an upcoming Mets game at Shea. Ugliest feet score a pair of awesome seats to a Red Sox game at Fenway.
  • Wiener Wars 2007 - Thanks to our contestants Tom, Todd, and Mike for competing against AJ in our first ever 'Wiener Wars' Hot Dog Eating Competition.
  • Eric Hummel - Hummel Brothers Meats. Our buddy Eric hooked us up with his tasty hot dogs for today's 'Weiner Wars'.
  • Charlie Dowd - General Manager of the Connecticut Defenders. Our play-by-play commentator for Wiener Wars.
  • American Medical Response - Making sure that everyone is OK before, during, and after 'Weiner Wars'.
  • The Flying Beavers - Stopping by the beach to hang out and bring copies of their Beaver Shots book.
  • Ted Koppy - News Channel 8. Not only is he the main man on Channel 8; but he's cool enough to come hang out at the beach and sing a Beach Boys song in German. Schrecklich!
  • Morton's Steakhouse - Talking summertime grilling; and grilling up some of their signature classic steaks.

    Loser of the Week:
    Our top candidates this week were...

  • Joshua Komisarjevsky & Steven Hayes - For breaking into the home of the Petit family in Cheshire, killing 3 of the 4 family members, and critically injuring the 4th.
  • The City of New Haven - For the whole 'Illegal Immigrant ID Card" situation. The city started issuing the ID cards this week.

    Not much of a contest this week. One competitor spanked the other to a clear victory. When the speed round was over and the dust was settled, this week's Losers of the Week are Joshua Komisarjevsky & Steven Hayes. Thanks for voting!

  • Les Stroud - Survival Expert and host of Survivorman on the Discovery Channel.

    Entertainment News: Oh that wacky Lindsey Lohan is following the white line again... Just out of rehab, Lohan arrested again on DUI, cocaine charges.

    In the close we spoke with Rick Hart about a benefit for the family of former Waterbury Firefighter John Keane.
    It's happening this Sunday at Riders Cafe - 2627 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury. It's a cookout with live music and a lot more. Tickets are $20; and all the proceeds go the Keane Family.
