We saw this article in the Connecticut Post about a woman in Derby who got permission from the town to have a wedding for her two dogs on the town green. That seemed so bizarre to us we had to investigate...

We tracked down Diane Spak of Derby, the owner of the two dogs to be wed and got the full story. The dogs were to be married that Sunday (June 1st) on the Derby Town Green, so we thought we could have a dress rehersal for the wedding on the air on Friday.

We called in the almighty Wigmaster to perform the ceremony, enlisted Pam Landry to be the wedding photographer, Billy got a dog-bone shaped wedding cake, and off we went...

Billy, Diane, and invited guests watch the bride and groom as the ceremony begins.

Yup... a doggie wedding. You heard it here first!
